OK here goes

If you want the best of the best go to to GHQ they are expensive but the detail is fantastic

www.ghq.com

Next up would be CinC miniatures not sure of the website but the quality is nearly as good as GHQ

Scotia Models do a fair range, some are good some are awful mind you

There is also Armstrong minis that do some oddities that no one else covers

there is also Sytrex and Navwar..some of these are good some again are bad

If all else fails have a look at this website

Here is their web site http://www.pfc-cinc.shoppingcartsplus.c ... _page.html

I recently bought C in C for the first time (to upgrade the pieces on my Axis & Allies board games) and found the detail excellent and the service superb. GHQ are good, but their shipping prices are downright extortion

I like GHQ myself, and use them for gaming. However, I have heard some complaints that they are able to provide the great detail only by sacrificing true scale accuracy. Thus the models are said to be too tall, or turrets too large, or things like rivets or track links are over scale.

As I said, it doesn't bother me, but your mileage may vary. You can get lots more critique by searching at TMP.

Yes, GHQ is great stuff. Check out the military forum on their website. There's some amazing stuff there, esp. WWII and Vietnam (look for stuff by a guy named pibber, absolutely mindboggling what he can do in 1/285 scale):
