Rofur flags

Posted by Maurice on 28 Mar 2009, 16:15

A small question for all those who use Rofur flags (or other paper flags).

If you have a figure carrying a flag in your set, how do you apply the paper flag to the figure? Do you apply it on top of the plastic flag or do you cut away the plastic flag (and perhaps flagpole) and just apply the paper flag to the pole?

Hi
I cut completely the plastic flag and replace it with the new paper flag. For the pole, I use a pin

Wrapping it around the plastic flag never works! I print mine on sticky label paper; it's best to wrap it so just the far edge on the fly is touching, forming a sort of loop, then sliding it down over the pole and smoothing the two sides together working back towards the pole.

When I use paper flags, I cut off the plastic flag. Often I replace the pole with a plastic pin.

But If possible I paint the plastic flag, but it´s not easy.

I think Rofur Flags are great. I cut off the plastic ones and like some other guys I use a plastic pin as the pole. After fixing the flag, sometimes i do some little weathering.

Hi Maurice,
I would cut away the plastic flag.
When the pole is still usable, I use that one.
If it is too damaged I use a new plastic pin.
Normally a flag moves with the wind and makes folds, curls and curves.
I use some "aluminiumfolie" = very thin metal "paper"' (I don't know the wordt in English) in between.
It holds the foldings and curves in the flag better.

Very similar. Aluminium Foil is the English word.
