Upcoming Napoleonic Scottish Infantry

Posted by Waterloo on 14 Mar 2009, 22:18

Has anyone else heard that Italeri is apparently coming out with a Napoleonic Scottish Infantry set for later this year??

I just read this in PSR and I was was wondering if anyone had had any more information on this.

Will it be a re-issue of their earlier set of "Grenadier Infantry" or will they be new figs?

Does anyone have any pics or anything???? :? Just curious??

Thanx

If you are referring to set # 6136 there is no info on the set yet that I am aware of... maybe Benno knows? I am waiting for their # 6135 French Artillery to come out this spring as well....Chass

I kind of mean this set.

I want to know if this "new set" is actually going to be new figures or just a re-issue of this older set.

Wondering if you guys have heard anything???

I agree with Benno. What's for certain, is that it can't be a reissue of Esci, because they didn't had such sets. So a totally new set for me ;-)

Esci had a mixed set of britisch and sott infantry wich was reissued by Italerie (Nr. 6058) some years ago. I also think this must be a new one.

I can only agree with you, Rafa. Don't understand why nobody wants to make Spanish troops. They even made Swedish and we hardly fought any battles. Spain had many battles and were occupied by Napoleon. To fully cover the Napoleonic era there must be some Spainards too!

Olé.
Gentlemen manufacturers: a couple of Spanish Guerilla's (HäT 8116) is not enough:
Napoleonic Spaniards is what we want!

Some weeks ago I started a thread in the HäT forum about the oportunity of Spanish figures... Mr. and Ms Jones made a sort of poll, but nothing resulted from it! :(

Well, I alway can use Saxon or Prussians 1806 infantry for pre 1810 Spanish and British infantry in stovepipe or French in shako for later times!... but it's a pity witn the bicentennial now raging
