Duels from Now On

Posted by Adam on 01 Feb 2010, 21:41

Hi Guys,
I have had a lot of fun over the past "however long its been" settign up and organising the duelling system and seeing all the entries, however the wife is imminently due our first child and I'm finding myself busier and busier at home anyway, and lazier and lazier on the forum (sorry all you guys who have had long overdue duels left up  ).

So I'm going to be stepping down as duel referee and Remco (Dad's Army) has kindly agreed to take over from me.

The relevant detail have been changed in the threads pertaining to duels and any outstanding duelists have been informed.

Thanks for all the duellists and voters who have made it a great success, and I look forward to seeing more in the future from the other side fo the fence!
Cheers

Hi Adam,
As second member (after Benno) I can say you have done a great job.
You put the duel on the map.
On behalf of all members I can say:
Thanks
I know that the duels are in good hands at Remco's.
Thanks again, Adam!!

)Adam,
Thanks for doing such a great job. The duels have really added a unique dimension to the forum.

Take good care of your wife :-D

And Remco, good luck, you've got some big shoes to fill (well, figuratively at least ;-) )

I´ll more than second that   When you´re sitting there, body aching from the stress of sleepless nights and feeling like the whole weight of the world is on your shoulders, just look into the eyes of your child and it will all be GREAT!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-)

Oh, and you´ve got to go to the birth, there´s all these.......... :-)

So first she tricks you into marrying her and now she makes you have children as well?

DUDE!! Your life as you knew it is over! Soon you'll find yourself driving a 10 year old Volvo station-wagon with your wife, 4 kids and the family golden retriever on Saturdays to the Lidl to get a truckload of groceries and that then will have been the most exiting thing that happened to you all week  :crybaby:

But all seriousness, congrats!
