AK Real Paint Markers

Posted by steve_pickstock on 14 Dec 2024, 19:44

I received some of these as a present. Basically they're a pen with a brush type tip and acrylic paint as the 'ink'.

I've tried them out - touching up the tail markings on some 1/144 scale WW1 aircraft - and they appear to be really useful.

I use metallic sharpies -gold, silver and bronze - quite a lot, I find them really useful, so I expect to find similar uses for these.

Here's the link to the page.

They look very interesting, Steve. If I manage to find them in any model shop in Madrid, I'll try some of them. Is the brush on the tip thin enough to apply the paint on small details? Thank you very much for sharing the information. ;-)

It is a very fine point but broadens rapidly - about a size 3 or 4 brush, but with long bristles.

They look really useful, I think I want them!
And I had a look at their website: The company is from Spain, so perhaps the chances to find the pens in Madrid are better than to find them in Berlin...

I realised that later too, sberry. I hope I won't have too much difficulty finding them. ;-)
