Help fixing Photo Bucket and PostImage picture links

Posted by Paul on 31 Jul 2017, 14:29

It takes a Long while adding the fix to threads with Picture links
As only Mods/Admin can edit Posts to fix those links and as we are only a few (3 active Mods ) it takes a lot of work and TBH I´m not sure how many are 100% interested in having the links fixed on older Posts or if Fixing Posts of People who are no longer (or rarely) active here is necessary.
But You as members can help :-)
On your threads where the pics aren´t showing due to the PB third Party block you simply:

1. Quote your original post (at the top of the thread) with the broken links .
By quoting it Shows only the codes to which you could add the ~original fix.

2. Add the ~original fix and post (Preview first to see if it´s worked)
The post with the now visible pics Ends up at the bottom of the thread.

3. Add a link to the post requiring editing on the thread here.
All we mods do, having the ability to edit any Posts, is qoute the post with the now visible pics and replace the post at the top of the thread (with the not visible pics) ..and when that´s done, deleted the last post with the quoted fixed pics.

If you are not sure how it´s explained here;

Or just do this..thanks to Fred :yeah:
FredG wrote:Apparently there's no need for editing pics if you use Chrome or Firefox. There are addons for both.

Firefox users go here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/?src=search

Chrome users go here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/photonucket%20embed%20fix?hl=en

When you go into the add on manager, search photobucket embed fix and install it. It works when done that way.

Footnote;
Forgot to add...
As soon as the Posts have been edited This thread will be "cleaned" to prevent it becoming too Long or confusing.
One of the mods will add a message under the edit post request that the post has been edited and a day or so later remove both his/her Reply and the request.
