Could you tell me how you did the earth on this model? I'm still trying to get a hang on basing and stuff..

Hi Benno...

First I use a Styrodur Foam Plate as Base!
Then cut of a second Plate as a Hill and glue it on the First!
The Earth is a mixture of Molto Holz-Reparatur-Spachtel and Bird-Sand and brown Dispersion Paint!
I mix these components then with a spatula.
This mash is applied on the Styrodur, make Tracks and Craters and after light hard the mash, I brush it dry!
You have enough Time to change it, till you like ...
Then glue the figures on it and raise the grass!
Ready!
The mass does not contort, there originate no tears on the surface and it is much lighter than gips!
Perfect for every Diorama use, if you change, for example, the ground Colour or the Sand...

I like diversity of the figures you used in diorama and keep trying to identify what set they come from. I can recognize Zvezda's and I suppose Orion's figures. I can see some Revell's and Mini-Art's as well. One of the standard bearers is a Revell's conversion I think. Give me a hint what is the carriage made from? Horses seem to be familiar (8027 - Medieval Field Powder Artillery if I'm not mistaken) . I like the terrain much and and the group of let's say "chatting" soldiers. Really natural full of life set up and could be a starter for a bigger project. I made myself a couple o dioramas once presented on Hat forum mainly ancient roman subjects. It's gone some time now I did any. It only inspires in me a desire to get back to it.

The supply Wagon is the Italeri Set Nr.6017 "Napoleonis War Accessoires"
Indeed, the Horses are from the Zvezda Medieval Field Powder Set!
...also Zvezda French and English Infantry, Italeri Tournament Set, Revell 100Years French and Miniart are used to!
I´ve done a lot of conversations!!!!
