For the temple walls I have used simple block colors (light gray, white) with a blue washing for getting a blueish hue on the marble parts, followed by dark washing for the patina. I wanted the buildings to look quite aged and weathered; I am glad you like the result.

In my projects the figures are usually a wild mix from different manufacturers, combining elegant sculpts e.g. by Erik Trauner / Nikolai, Cryns or Phersu with the, well… not always so elegant figures by Strelets or Linear B. In the end, they seem to blend together quite well when painted in the same style. But in the first stages of a project, when everything is still unpainted, I always ask myself “do you really think it is a good idea to use all these figures together?”
