French Carabiniers 1810 -1815

Good afternoon everyone! After over a year of a break, I painted some more 1/72 scale figures. This time Italeri Carabiniers-à-Cheval. Nice miniatures in 1810 - 1815 uniform. I decided to paint all horses black, just as they would be before they were lost during the Russian campaign. Enjoy!

Those look very nice! I always love the white uniforms for some reason, and you have treated that really well. And very brave to put them on black horses - I hate painting blacks, and avoid them when possible, but yours came out great.
I love the guy firing at full gallop! Optimistic...

These look far better than I had expected given their rather monochrome uniforms. I find your treatment of the gold areas particularly excellent.

Fine painting of these spirited Italeri figures. Black horses is right I feel for an elite French heavy cavalry regiment of this period, and these very good.

I have always had mixed feelings about the poses that Italeri put into this set, and although the title Carabiniers suggests long firearms I am sure that they would not have used these in a full-on battle, especially when wearing a breastplate!

But this comment does not detract at all from the fine quality of your work here. Well done!
