I couldn't agree more with John and huib, Chris.

In your pictures, it's always difficult to decide what's best: the great painting and distribution of the figures in the fantastic setting, or the excellent quality of the photographs, which further enhance their level.

It’s difficult to say something about your work that hasn’t already been said Mr D. I really don’t think our hobby can go much higher than this amazing storytelling of yours and which you vividly bring to life with your little miniatures, stunning scenery and stupendous photographic skills. Keep up the phenomenal work and can’t wait to see your Aspern project magically come to life.

Antietam ( Sharpsburg) 17th September 1862

Timeline 1.00 PM

The Confederate right flank under the command of Brigadier General David R. Jones is being threatened by the advance across the Rhorbach bridge by Major General Ambrose E. Burnsides Ninth Corps.

The final few fresh Confederate reserves are deploying by the Stone Mill slightly south of the town of Sharpsburg to meet this threat.

The Union deployment is being led by the First Union Division, Brigadier General Orlando. B. Wilcox commanding. The bridge has caused a bottleneck, excabated by a blunder move, which, fortunately for the Union was a temporary halt, rather than a withdrawal into the following troops which would have been disastrous.

The Union Kanawha Division, under Brigadier General Jacob D. Cox, has, now that it is unopposed, found a ford over the Antietam creek and is commencing the crossing towards the Sherrick farm.

Once again the signs for the Confederacy are looking ominous.
