Flying Witch (with Cat)

Posted by Dad's Army on 19 Apr 2021, 11:09

Hi Guys,

Do you remember the old special figure of FIGZ, the flying witch.
I finally did paint her, as a gift to my GF.

Image

It was a nice figure to paint, but 20mm is getting harder and harder for me...

Image

Hope you like her, the making of is on my BLOG

What a fun mini! Purple was a good, witchy color choice.

A lovely figure, and I also like the making of, giving some real background story on this miniature and its presentation!

Oh dear, at first I thought the second photo was just a professional stock image to show why you chose the colors that you did.

Did not even realize that image no. 2 includes your actual figure! The illusion was complete. That is one measure of an exceptional outcome. Thanks for sharing with us.

A cat! There is a cat! A black cat. Like mine.
My cat is flying around in during the night ?
Strange!

And something nice paint in purple.

It is a long time since we read something from the modeller of the witch.

The first thing i thought of was the disney movie "heksen en bezemstelen" (Bedknobs and broomsticks)... so it brought back some great memories. And thats all because of the great paintjob and especially the second picture. Fantastic Remco :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: thanks for sharing and bringing back those memories

I really like that job. The figure is very well painted, I really like how you have painted the face. The figure is excellent in details, and as we say in Spanish "you have taken the juice to the last drop. Also the presentation with the frame and the image behind is just great. Something very nice for the eyes.

Very fine painting on this wonderful witch, and the spooky scene is fabulous.

It makes sense that this is a present, I can see you've put your heart into it.

p.s. I see from your blog that your GF is a fan of the witches; perhaps she might like this (skip Roy's waffle at the start, song starts at 1: 38):

Alex' stuff is great and I really wish he will release his Magician and retinue-set. But in the meantime this will do and it is very nice and your painting of her is great!
