Thank you again! We're on December 4th, time to open the next window of the Calendar.
Day 4: Two Housecarls discovering an ancient cromlech
The scene takes place in the north of England in the 11th century AD. Two Housecarls got lost in a forest, and instead of going back to their encampment, they discover an ancient cromlech in a small clearing.

Today's chocolate went down really easily since I got to look at the Housecarls while I enjoyed it.
You have created an incredibly elaborate background including cairns and several trees and groundwork for just two figures.
So the question is, will you use all of these materials in other projects or is this just a one-off?

For the 5th day of the calendar, we return to a cold atmosphere in northern Europe.
Day 5: a french Hussar of the 5th regiment
We are in december 1806. The 5th Hussar is part of the "Brigade infernale" under the command of General Lassalle. Our Hussar is scouting in the area of Golymin, before a battle against the russian army.

Day 6: Ayyubid foot soldiers in action, 12th century AD:
The Ayyubid dynasty was founded by Saladin in 1171. It replaced the Fatimid caliphate. Starting in Egypt, Saladin created a vast Empire including large parts of North Africa, Palestine, Syria, the Arabic coast down to Yemen, and almost annihilated the Crusader states.

The Third Crusade has always been my favorite, if one can have a favorite holocaust of religious war and inhuman slaughter.
So much star power! Richard the Lionhearted, Saladin, and even Barbarossa, although he did not make it all the way to the destination.
Great Ayyubid fighters. I especially like their shields. Chocolat coated caramel today.

For Day 7, we go to the edge of the Roman Empire:
We can see 2 soldiers of an Auxilia unit in the 1st or 2nd century AD, on the northern border of the Empire. They're on scouting duty, but the situation seems quiet enough to have a break and discuss a little. As Auxilia, they wear mail armors, and oval shields.
