Bocage

Bocage

Whilst clearing the Quatre Bras landscape I thought I might utilise the wood for something a little different.

The US advance on St. Lo was conducted through the Bocage country which entailed a slow and difficult advance.

The Sherman’s are modified deagostini die cast models whilst the Americans are from Italieri, slightly chopped.

The poor Germans are Yekerol .

Very clever re-purposing of terrain. If I could build terrain like yours, though, I'd have a very hard time ever bringing myself to clear it away. On the other hand, Antietam must be coming now, and I'm very eager to see what you do with that one.

I open your post and immediately in several of my Dio behind me I hear walking boots and screaming :
" Sherman`s ! Wo ist unser Tiger ?" (Sherman`s ! Where is our Tiger?)

Nice idea  with the reuse of your landscape.
Look too good. (The reaction, see above.)

Bravo! Chris.
i have long believed in my own Time Table for any period. Past,Present of Future!
It is hinged upon the art of making sure that one has lots of photographs,
or film shots to sift through for later presentations on Line that really pay dividends
especially after the table top of such dreams has finally been cleared away. BB

Nice re-purposing, Chris. Not your usual patch, but this is every bit as fine, and why waste a perfectly good bit of terrain?!

Top notch work on the tanks, figures, and terrain. The way you framed the photos adds extreme realism to the scene.
