American War of Independence

A few early attempts at the AWI theme. I'm happy with my grenadiers, but not so much the regulars. Any feedback or advice always welcome.

Thanks for looking.

I like them and I think, in the meantime it is no longer possible for me, to offer tips to you. The only think is that I made some experiements with stronger highlights. Maybe this might be something for the red colour...

I like them.

I've painted one of their bigger brothers some time ago:

I like them, too. Inks/Washes is always a topic, but depends on taste etc.
What disturbs you with the regulars?

Yours, TK

Those look great - nothing wrong with the regulars, in my opinion, and the painting stands up very well in your close ups. I really enjoy painting redcoats but can't think of anything to suggest that could improve on what you have done!

Nicely painted figures. Wash really brings out the details. Only suggestion I have would be some light color drybrushing on the boots and brown backpacks. Bill

Thank you all for your positivity. I've now painted some A Call To Arms light infantry.

A very good paint job on these figures. For my part I only wish that ACTA had made them a little bigger and more robust, but the Grenadiers in particular are in useful poses.

Great painting, I gotta join the other's comments.
Only suggestion when it comes to historical accuracy: Light Infantry has to wear red vests beneath the regimental coat, not white.
But that's up to the artist, all good! Keep us posted!
