Lord of the Rings

I dreamt last night that I had written Lord of the Rings, but it turned out I'd just been Tolkien in my sleep...

Lol. I have a bаg. I can't see I sent a message. Sorry. So I'll post it one last time(i think so  ):
Wow, it turns out in your dream I was your fan!) In general, you're in luck. I always wanted to find myself in the body of this genius at least for a minute. I just admire his talent for writing books! Each one seems to create a separate dimension, into which you want to dive over and over again! I remember skipping school just to read another Tolkien book. Oh, good times were in the 90s) I remember always loved the books of John Tolkien! After them, I sometimes had such dreams that I wanted to write my own book! ! It's a pity I couldn't become a writer (But recently I found a great forum for fans of John Tolkien's work Now I spend whole nights there. I tell people about my dreams, about thoughts about the characters in his work. They, in turn, share with me with their opinions. Here is the link: https://www.thetolkienforum.com/wiki/Shelob

Well here's a topic I've not had time to go back to in a very long time! I watched the (in my opinion rubbish) Lord of the Rings series on Amazon (Rings of Power) and it inspired me to paint a few more of the great Dark Alliance figures. I've still got sets from the range unstarted, maybe one day...

Wonderful Uruk-hai figures, Rich, as well as Saruman's one. I'm a big fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie series and enjoy a lot every time some of you post pictures with figures from them. ;-)

Fantastic Rich! I must admit seeing Saruman mounted on an armored Warg causes me pause. I have this set still unpainted maybe some day. Your stuff is excellent.

I like Saruman most, but also the Uruks are very cool. You are such a skilled painter in the meantime!

Ah, there is nothing like a phalanx of armoured man-orcs. Fine work Rich, and you're right, it is a while since you last posted pictures of your LoTR collection. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all your kind feedback with these figures. I've continued my pause with WSS and have carried on with a few more Dark Alliance sets. I've just finished more Rohirrim, dwarves and elves and will post them all over the next couple of weeks.

First up, these are from set 2 of the 'Steppes warriors' (Rohirrim)-really lovely poses and enjoyable to paint.

These look very good Rich, and the close up photography demonstrates just how skilful your paintwork is on these fine sculpts. I'm looking forward to more of your LotR figures!

I agree with Minuteman about your skill and paint job, Rich, and with both of you about the great quality of these Steppes/Rohirrim warriors figures. I have them too and would like to paint any of them sometime; I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot :-D

Another great unit to add to your Lord of the Rings ones, Rich. Wonderful work!

Fine and fearsome Elves, really well painted. I like the vibrant gold, russet and blue that you have chosen as a livery for this particular company. Well done Rich!

With three of the races of Middle Earth already represented (Orcs, Humans and Elves), it was only logical that sooner or later the fourth of the Dwarves would arrive. And the unit you show us has the same excellent level of quality as the previous ones, Rich.

Great work on these Light Alliance Dwarves!
