WW2 - Soviet Reconnaissance Team "Behind enemy lines" - RU

Posted by Hellboy on 10 Apr 2020, 21:06

New diorama pictures …

„Behind enemy lines“

They have been in the enemy territory for days. Always in danger of being discovered. But they have to keep going. Until they found the enemy.

Have fun. :-D

Very cool! Are those from the Zvezda Art of Tactic mini-box series? They seemed a bit oversized when I got my copy.

Bluefalchion, thank you for your kind comments! :-D To your question, these two characters are from Zvezda (6137 Soviet Reconnaissance Team 1941-1943). You're right, the figures are large and voluminous - like a lot of figures from the 'Art of Tactic' series. I have to admit that I really like it that way. It was a lot of fun painting these two boys!

Phew …
I do not believe that the figures are 1/72 scale.
Another brilliant work of yours!
It is always nice to be able to look at your work.
you have an extraordinary clean and clear painting style
that always fascinates me anew.

I like the butterfly most.
Stop, no the squirrel.
Let me begin at the very first with the lizard.
And some not jet radio active mushrooms.

There are ferny, dandelion, grass.
Only the two green, brown patches at the rock are unknown to me.
In your nature Dio the environmental pollution is beginning.
One of these green patches catch a piece of paper.

All in all a nice Dio of pure nature with wild live.

Wiking, thanks for your hint. :yeah: The two green-brown spots on the rock shouldn't be there. I don't know how they got there. I probably forgot to clean it really well. But now I am very embarrassed. The diorama was only because of the butterfly. A tribute to spring !!!! Sorry for this mishap ..... ... ;-) ... :-D

Lovely groundwork and the figures are superb.

I love good faces as it brings the subject to life.

I personally, perhaps predictably these days, would have them filthier, especially the hands and faces.

Nevertheless, beautifully done.

Best wishes,

Chris

Fantastic cammo painting and groundwork... except these flowers... it looks too artificial for my taste... maybe in real life it looks better

I agree the faces and cammo are very good but the best thing is the composition; this is in perfect harmony whichever angle you look at it. And I really believe those guys, in my mind I can see the Panzers they're watching moving along the road.
