Posted by dykio on 04 Apr 2020, 08:40

Hi Guys,

As some of you may know i have been busy with building a arabic village. For those interested in the build :

I did not make the bulding as historical as possible but tried to give them a eastern look so that i can use them for the dessert war, ffl versus arabs and all kind of scenarios. wel enough said time to play around with it :-D .

I support Joan. I really love your village. No you need the series of Arabs, from Eric Trauner!

You did a great job with your buildings.
I particularly like how flexible they can be used for different eras.

I really like your DIY-spirit and the nice results. :yeah:

With all those (predominantly) Esci kits & figures I can feel a bit of nostalgia coming up... .

Yes, dykio, I really like your pictures and even more their content: you have achieved a wonderful and complete oriental town, very useful (as despertaferro said) almost from Biblical times to the present, as can be seen in your two displays. :notworthy:

I love the very well pictured creation process in the "Work in progress" section, from paper plans to the real thing we see here.

My very best congratulations. ;-)

Santi.

Those are very nice buildings. And I love the details - the canopy on the roof, the village well... You will have fun with these!

Lovely to see this all come together.

Excellent modelling with versatility as shown.

Marvellous stuff.

Enjoy battling away in it.

Best wishes,

I liked the buildings in the WIP but when they are all together like this with the trees and the figures and vehicles they look absolutely fantastic.

The well is excellent!

I agree with Graeme. The addition of the trees to all scratch build "shops"
make the whol secene more livelike.
But during gaming the trees are not an advantage I think. During moving the figures throug the city.

Nice work.
