You do these lovely figures justice.

Chris may have got the season correct as the grass has the look of vegetation killed by frost.

Thank you all for your kind feedback! Yes I agree Chris, these chaps look like they could do with some time in the sunshine!

Next up in my never-ending painting queue...Erbprinz Hesse-Kassel dragoons who were on the left wing of the Allied army. These are from the very good Strelets British dragoons set. Thanks as always for looking.

That is precisely what never ceases to amaze me about you, Rich. Not just the sheer number of units you paint, but the high speed at which you do it, without diminishing the quality of the figures.

My deepest congratulations!

Next up is the Prussian regiment Anhalt-Dessau. These were also on the right wing of the allied army. I've used the Austrian marching figures and they really are lovely figures to paint. I've ordered some flags for this unit and a couple of previous ones that were missing theirs, so hopefully they'll look good once added on. I've got a few more bits to upload but I'll space them out otherwise I will not have anything to add for several months!

I see a lot of very well-painted figs here.
Keep up the good work.

I think we all see the same thing, it's impossible to see anything else. :winky:

Rich, it's clear that the more you practice painting, the better your results are. Each new unit looks even better than the last.

Do you now understand what I told you in another thread that we are very lucky to have you embarked on this fantastic WSS adventure?

These artillerymen have nothing to envy their infantry and cavalry comrades, Rich. They look as fantastic as they do. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Next up...Wuttemburg Leibgarde regiment who were in the centre of the Allied line. I've used the Zvezda GNW Russians just to mix things up a little. With hindsight I should have chosen a darker grey for the coats.

The truth is that, although the quality of the Zvezda figures is somewhat superior to the Strelets (in my humble opinion, of course), once they have gone through your painting process they both look superb, Rich. Another amazing unit for your extensive WSS collection.

Yet another splendid unit Rich to grace your wargames table. Like Santi, I do think the Zvezda fellows are better sculpts, but what amazes me is how prolific you are.
Congratulations on another terrific regiment.

Excellent work and those troops really are very nice.

To my mind the faces bring them to life.

Head swaps on the more ugly specimens in some Stretlets sets might be an idea.

However, in an age of poor medicine, hygiene and worse dentistry no one was going to look film star in those days.

Have you seen this regarding Malplaquet ?

Keep up the good work.

Best wishes,

Chris
