Caravan

Little vignette that I finished yesterday. Today in the beautiful sunshine I took pictures. The camels and riders are made of tin. The two figures on foot are made of plastic - all on a small Matchbox Dio.

Greetings. Jens Hilgraf

Totally different and really nice.

Super idea and realisation.

I wondered if the tank tracks were still on the base?

Most Impressive work with the sun adding a real ambience.

Best wishes,

Chris

Really nice job on this vignette. Timeless quality to my eyes. Fantastic paint job on the entire thing.

Mabo - thanks - I didn't know which manufacturer the caravan was - yes they are from Toma. I bought them at Dioramica in 2017 (?) - i think.

Yes, super work. I like that ruin and vegetation almost the same as figures.

C M Dodson and Kesko already mention the Matchbox base with an amount of green.
I saw this base always with trucks , tanks, cars but really not this kind of stuff.
Nice idea indeed.
Good use of different brands of figures. They fit all well inside.
The ships of the dessert are also well done.
And the cloudless sky rounds off that scene.

:yeah:

This is really great, I love it. So colorful and scenic. Nice capture of time. i do think the ground is too busy with tracks. It becomes a distraction for me but the rest is phenomenal.

Great job with these figures! Great to see some figures from Toma. The camel-holder is ESCI or? But the other foot-figure???? Great use of that Matchbox-base!

Could be from the excellent Strelets Arab Revolt Foot Rebels?

As others already emphasised, a wonderful scene skilfully realised! :yeah:
Great to see the unconventional & effective use of the classic Matchbox diorama base and the Toma dromedaries are superb.

Very good, thanks for sharing.

Definitively, the camel holder comes from the also excellent Esci Muslim Warriors/Italeri Arab Warriors set (last figure of the last row without the pistol):

Best regards. :-)
