My friend enjoys painting subjects that are a bit of a mystery to me, so we have the Natal Mounted Police and below them the same figures with the badge filed off the helmet and painted them as Natal Carabiners. I hope you enjoy my friends work:

Excellent work - love the NMP and I was scrolling down the page eagerly waiting for the white helmets of the Carbineers. Love to see these with some other Zulu War irregulars - the Frontier Light Horse, the Natal Native Horse, etc, etc.
