Excellent work CPN. You've done a great job with these uniforms. I see you've used Red Box British and Zvezda Russians, are there any other sets mixed in there?

Good morning,
Thank you for your kind comments.
I did use Redbox sets, Zvezda Swedish infantry and Revell Austrian infantry.
I hope this helps.
Have a great weekend.

Very nice and brings back memories of the excellent film.

The film was a masterclass in photography as well as a good tale.

Best wishes,

Chris

The Zvezda set in particular looks fabulous. Where did your the mitre caps for the reveal Austrians?

Barry Lyndon is one of my very favorite films. It is very interesting how the narrator is critical of Barry throughout, but is often clearly wrong.

Your figures have evoked it powerfully. Thanks for posting.

Good evening,
The mitre came from the few Zvezda Swedes grenadiers in the box.
Thank you again for support.
I shall carry on then.
But first, a beer.
Cheers

Actually I've never seen the film, I'll have to pick up the DVD sometime because it seems everybody praises it.

But in the mean time I'm happy to watch your figures instead, they are a very fine sight indeed.

Apparently Kubrick was going to make a film about the life of Napoleon, but the project got too expensive. But by then he had a ton of research and ideas for a film set in that era. So he opted for a different, fictional story set during the Seven Years War. The film is also known for its pioneering use of natural lighting.

Welp, I have it downstairs. I may just go watch it again. :D
