Vikings/Anglo Saxons

Here are three shots from a wargame I ran last weekend. I consider myself a "Regular" painter. My projects consist of me alone painting all of the figures needed so I do an average gaming paint job which I am reticent to post next to the master works on this site.

I am proad to say I made all the buildings out of foam core and blue house insulation and acrylic caulk.

A really nice looking game. And hats off to any wargamer who takes the time to build their own houses. These look great!

Wow that is a really impressive set-up man. Right up there with the best gameboards I have seen on this forum.

Thank you men you are much too kind with your comments.
I was lucky enough to retire a few years ago and I decided to do all the hobby things that I was unable to do when working. So with all of these wonderful Forums and Youtube stuff floating around I have tried creating my own buildings which I always wanted to have a go at. Lots of fun and challenging.

By the way the tarp is from CigarBox mats they are really nice I recommend them highly.
Thanks agin for the kind words.

Paul :
even if you say that it's a gaming paint job, I would really like to see more closed up pictures of your work !
it's a period of my "zone of interest" and the buildings look very interesting for example :yeah: ... but not only !
Do you have some more photos or a blog ? :eh:

What I see looks good, maybe very good ? :-D

I saw the pictures before but they've disappeared now.

I'm glad you posted the pics here. Your figures look great and the buildings are very good, very authentic looking Anglo Saxon huts. Whatever you used for the brushwood fencing was very effective.

Thanks for the kind words Graeme. The fencing post are cut from model railroad wood fencing the surface is cut from stuff we use in the USA to wrap real tree trunks. It is about 2 inches wide I just gut it to size glued it on to the wood posts and primed it black and dry brushed. Its a nice trick.
