Don't thik I've seen these painted before. Can only agree, they look pretty Imperial! Nice addition! Well, maybe not for the Orcs.

I think you are wrong about the Orcs, having more enemies to smash is always a good addition for them :)

Good day everybody! :-D

First medieval historical character I have ever painted - Jan Zizka, famous XV century Czech mercenary and brilliant tactician implementing Wagenburg (war wagon) tactics during Hussite Wars (1419-1434).

The miniature itself is a conversion based on Zvezda knight, with DDS Landsknecht head and mace from Miniart Hussite set. The eyepatch is scratch build. I painted him in red and white, with red crayfish on the shield based on Zizka family coat of arms.

Wow, interesting conversion and the crayfish is also very well painted. Interesting to learn about his heraldy btw.

Your skills improve, if you asked me!

I'm here with some more 1/72 ancients, this time I painted a Carthaginian Hoplite. This guy is a tiny conversion from Hat set (He had his arm rearranged). The most interesting part of Carthaginian infantry was their shields, featuring very original and vibrant patterns. I decided to paint white figure on red background, which was associated with Phoenician goddess of war - Tanit. Enjoy!

I love the muted faded colour scheme. Look at that red. Is that Non Metallic Metal for the armour? The freehand on the shield must have taken ages and it looks great!

Thanks! I'm not using non metalic metal. I managed to achieve the bronze by mixing Vallejo Model color '' gold '' and '' leather brown'' in 2:1 proportion then washed it with citadel agrax earthshade and highlighted with the previous mix with less brown (4:1 maybe).
