Austrian Landwehr 1813

Posted by sansovino on 06 Jan 2019, 17:31

I had still some free time and have painted the next landwehr set: Austrian Landwehr from Hät, which is one of the best produced sets of Hät with wonderful details and a good range of postures.

There are a broad range of possibilities, how to paint them. The different Lander of crown of Habsburg had between 1806 and 1813 very different uniform colours. Fred G had already presented other regiments with Newline figures.

I have decided me after a long research finally for the Lower Austrian Regiment No 42 in the year of the battle of Leipzig 1813. The 2 sappers are own created alternations of Hät figures.... and I have added again some beards ....

Later, it will follow 2 other, an other Landwehr Regiment and Austrian Jäger in offensive ....

I have received the information, that yellow was the colour of the 22th and 27th regiment. The 42th had orange as colour.
