Charge of the Rohirrim

Posted by carlosfaro on 12 Nov 2018, 10:36

As a sample of the still developing Tolkien project, here I show you some pics of my first unit of mounted riders of Rohan, led by King Theoden

The target was to assembly horsemen with viking/barbarian looking, with beard , long hair and capes if possible, and trying to give them a recognisible green-brown colour scheme,.
I think it worked, even with the diference in styles and sizes...

Figures from:

TUMBLING DICE (Metal)
Redbox
Miniart
Boardgame "War of the Ring" (actually Rohirrim from the very begining!)
Orion (self-homemade moulded copies)

some Zvezda, Hat and Tumlbing dice horses

More pics at http://sceavusall172.blogspot.com
Further units to be made soon..

I have some Rohirrim from Mithril and yours reminds me of those. Very nice work!

Very nice. They look like the Rohirrim from the movie.

Nicely done!
I think you should make a diorama like your painting table! It captures the chaos of battle (and looks a whole lot like my painting table...)
