Priest on the Normandie Shore

Posted by MABO on 08 Sep 2018, 07:22

Here is one of the last sets I have build in the last weeks. This time a Fast Assembly "Priest" from Italeri (Set 7513). It was easy as promised and nearly everything fits well. The only part not working are the small shells which did not fit inside the storage bins. I have to cut it and glue the top on the right place. Not a big deal, but it could have been made with precision.

The decals are the ones included in the set. They are for a generic US unit in Normandie. Bags and stuff from SHQ and Sgtss Mess.

The big brother is a Sexton from the 1.Canadian Army in 1944. A howitzer as well, which replaced the M7 Priest later on in the armies of the Commonwealth.

Nicely done. Love the comparison with the Sexton!

Fine job on that Priest. Is that a photograph of the big brother, or did you set your model in the foreground, in front of the real thing?

It was the real thing in front of a museum.

Awesome job on the Priest. Not bad detail for a quick assembly kit. The vehicle stowage adds a lot of realism. Bill

The quick builds are great for saving time, and effort required for pulling ones hair out in utter fustration, but I realise they are not everyone`s cup of.

Here we see some great shots of a silent gun. I Really like this one Jan. Bravo! You did it well. BB
