40s/50s civilians

Posted by Fire at Will on 02 Sep 2018, 08:31

Some Civilians suitable for use in WW2 or more recently. Figures are from an old Dapol set I picked up on a B&B many years ago. Obviously many are Railway staff and various passengers.

The Celtic cross is a scenic item picked up from Sgts Mess at Bovington

Dapol (ex Airfix) figure are very useful. Civilians of this time period are rare.
Nice clear paint job done!
I like your lonely Cäsar (007) hidden in the end.

I like them as well. A shame we have so very few civilian figures for this period. I think only the Middle Ages can be represented propperly due to Valdemar and some other smaller producers.

We will see.

Very nice job on these Will, your painting shows that these old figures are much nicer than I remember.

These figures would work well for cold war scenes. Bond is not the only spy there, I can see figures that would work for George Smiley and Alec Leamas and perhaps Karla disguised as an East German labourer. Also on the left at the back I'm sure I can see Lonely standing next to Miss Marple, I'm sure she's thrilled about that.
