Gordon meets The Mahdi

Posted by Santi Pérez on 18 Aug 2018, 17:02

Finally, these are the last pictures I have recovered from my Postimage archives.

They correspond to my last diorama to date, built on summer 2017. It was inspired by the epic movie "Khartoum" (1966), starring Charlton Heston and Laurence Olivier, and represents the meeting between both leaders at Mahdi's camp.

I hope you enjoy the pictures. Thank very much for watching. :-)

Santi.

Thanks, Mai Strac. I agree with you: maybe a little unreal, but I love clean paintjobs. ;-)

Best regards.

Well, this time I won't comment your painting style. I just want to say good job

Thank you, mates. You know that this isn't really a new job, but it dates from the summer of 2017. I just wanted to recover the missing images from the original post due to an unknown problem with Postimage. :-)

I've been working in two new projects this summer. One (in 54mm) is already finished (I must take and post pictures), but the second one (in 20mm) is a long-term project that I will finish next summer. I will post pictures of the first steps in the "Work in Progress" section as soon as they are available. ;-)

Best regards.

Do not get too excited about my finished project in 54mm, Mabo. They are really just a couple of figures, they are not from any known brand and they are not military, but literary.

Only one clue: they are the main protagonists of one of the universal works of literature. ;-)

More information soon. :-)

I like it a lot. Good to see some of the familiar figures used in this very specific historical scene.

Gordon should be feeling nervous with a sword one side and a gun the other...!

Thank you very much, mates. I hope you like the same my future projects. ;-)

By the way, MABO, are you a fortune teller and that comment was a premonition of Kostis' post about his Nativity scene?

Please, Kekso, when you find them send me one or two. Last Monday was my birthday and I notice how my memory is failing more and more over the years, haha.

And don't forget the camel behind, blocking any possible escape route. :eh:
