Armourfast M10

Posted by MABO on 14 Apr 2018, 17:00

Having been in Normandy several times I have visited originals of this Anti-Tank AFV. So I started building the two models straight out of the box.

Inside they are poorly detailed, but I am not skilled enough to scratchbuild all the details like other members here. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

But generally speeking I am satisfied with the result. I have been caught by an advertice from http://www.zinnfiguren.com and I have bought some weathering stuff from AK: Texturizer and some pigments. I have other ways to create this before but I must say the AK stuff is quiet good.

Additional equipment like bags, stowage and stuff is from SHQ and SGT'S MESS.

And I also organised some decals from Black Lion Decals and from Peddinghaus. After the Plastic Soldier Company Summercamp last year, http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21043&hilit=Plastic+Soldier+Summercamp
I know about the problems, so the outcome was much better.

One of the tanks is from the 1.Polish Armoured Division. Decals from
Black Lion. Still a little soft but I managed to add all completely. Also there is no introduction where to apply and research is difficult. So I hope I did it quiet right.

The second one is part of the 20th Anti Tank Regiment Royal Artillery Normandy. Decals from Peddinghaus:

Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching. :yeah:

There is not much option to build an Armorfast tank oob.
Painting, weathering is well done.
The white star at the front plate out of center catch my interest.
Your idea or seen in a b/w picture?

Hello Wiking, the instruction of Peddinghaus said the white invasion star should be placed like this.

Fantastic looking tanks MABO. But they are not suitable for the North African Campaign, so why do them?

:D ;] ;p :--)

Thank you Peter. I have tried to improve my skills with every AFV. But I know that I will never reach the artist level. So I am really looking forward to the FIGZ workshop.

Really nice weathering. and if IRCC the interior of these models didn't even include the gun breach (??) so, if so, you have done a nice job scratch-building that.

I would attend a workshop of your skills, MABO, even if I had to go half-way around the world to reach it.

Perhaps when my boys are a bit older, though. The six-month old might not fully appreciate your presentation yet.
