A wonderful 1/72 scale diorama from Thomas Mayer / Vienna.

Absolutely stunning work.

It is such a shame that there is no backdrop to really show it off.

The water catches the light just like the The real thing.

Marvellous.

Wonderful scene and beautifully painted, you've really nailed the Carribean look. The water looks brilliant, the tonal changes to show depth are very good.

What I really, really like is the bustle of activity on the dock, and the mooching dogs. very well done.

Really impressive.
The constructions are typical of the Caribbean, the handling that you have made of the water makes it seem real. The figures have all something to do and the great ship is a marvel.
There is no doubt that this must have been an eighteenth-century Caribbean port.
Seeing this diorama leads me to think about pirate adventures.

It's "a lot work": a lot of detail, a lot of figures, a lot of conversions...

And also "a great work": great paint job, great scenery, great ship,... :notworthy:

In conclusion: an incredible masterpiece. My very best congratulations.

Santi.
