Napoleonic Imperial Guard

Posted by PhilC on 04 Mar 2018, 16:46

Don't know what's happening, but these days, I paint more Napoleonics than Ancients. I think it's your fault, at least some of you, who paint so wonderful minis

So, a few pictures of some figures for the French Imperial Guard.

Middle guard, with some musicians

More to come, I hope (and I will be late for my other projects...)

All so nice! The grenadier a cheval is beautifully painted.I have this set and have carved it up for other uses, not being that impressed with it and not really needing it for Spain. But you show how god it can look when masterfully painted! I like the treatment of black on the horse - always the trickiest horse colour in my opinion and the modelling of the whites on all the uniforms is beautiful.

It may not be your main area of interest but you can show me your Napoleonics anytime.

These look great., I particularly like the Grenadier a Cheval. I've always liked that set and I like it even better when I see it so splendidly painted.
