More WWI Serbs (1916-18)

Posted by Marvin on 12 Feb 2018, 21:14

I've finished off the last of the box of Strelets WWI Serbian infantry,

The first group of figures demonstrated the early war Serbian infantry uniform.

This last batch wear French African Army uniforms, supplied to the Serbian troops by the Allies after their evacuation from the Balkans in early 1916.

More about these troops on the blog - https://suburbanmilitarism.wordpress.com/2018/02/11/serbia-is-saved-late-wwi-serbian-infantry-1916-18/

Switch to WWI. No wait, keep doing Napoleonic cavalry. No, switch to WWI. Agh! I can't decide. I guess just keep doing both, and show us the results.

However putting that huge mistake aside,
I really like the painting side of your hobby work. :thumbup:
Well done Marvin. BB

Post Script... Lots of people get cold feet when it comes to painting snow;
but as long as they have good warm British socks on it`s ok. :-D

Well, Fred, you might think I'd need to order some more with all these winter coats figures I'm doing. But actually I've got enough Woodland Scenics soft flake snow to last me an ice age! :-)

Thanks BB - Warm socks are essential for winter war. As for the machine guns, it's all perfectly clear. These late war figures had to make do with the dreadful Chauchat but the early war figs insisted on Lewis guns... :eh:
