WW2 - Sd.Kfz. 231 (6-Rad) in „Bean soup....“ - DE

New diorama pictures …

„Bean soup....“

For lunch there was bean soup in the field kitchen. The soup was very delicious and all the soldiers ate plenty of it.

Well, a few hours later everybody has to take care of the consequences.... ;-)

Have fun. :-D

Very nice scene once again, Frank. Maybe that the bricks are to uniform of color. It would stand out more if there are multiple colors on it, but that is the only positive feedback for you. :yeah:

Nice scene, clean assembling & paint job.

Did you scratchbuild the Nebelbecher/Nebelkerzen device and MG frame or did they come from an aftermarket set?

This diorama serves as an excellent showcase for your well-rounded skill set. How did you make the armored car look dusty?

Nice to see a typical presentation of your work again.

A Tiger in grey with six paws ! ? :eh:
:-D

As Mickey Mouse already mentioned the red of the bricks are to intense and uniform.
Also the bike leans with his handlebar unnatural. I know it is possible. I try that carefully in my youth too.

Color wise I like most the grey on the house. All these
fifty shades of grey.
And the green that encircle all sides as the ivy who grow up the house wall. :yeah:
Like the end of the street in the dirt. All together let it look like as I would expect from a backyard.
The MG on top with the ammo belt is the vehicles eye catcher.
Nice that you cable the Nebelbecher.
Figure are very well done.
Waiting for the comrade inside the wood box to finish his duty?

A well made Dio again.
But it smell ... very... strong ...

Erich von Manstein, Kostis Ornerakis, Bluefalchion and Wiking, thank you for your great comments. I'm really happy about that. :-D It's nice that you like the diorama!

At this point I have to apologize to you that I have not contacted you for so long. But sometimes life is going crazy. Then everything bad comes at the same time. :( Slowly I'm feeling a little better again. I will from now more frequently report me here in the forum. Promised!!!! :-D

To your questions and comments:

The 'Nebelbecher/Nebelkerzen' and the MG frame are included in the model kit. Attached a link.

By the way, this model kit is really great !!! :yeah:

Bluefalchion wrote:How did you make the armored car look dusty?

I applied the dust on the vehicle with the airbrush. I use very diluted Humbrol enamel paints for this. This creates a dull and dusty surface.

Wiking wrote:A well made Dio again. But it smell ... very... strong ...

Unfortunately, you are right with the strong smell. :( I have to put the diorama on the balcony. So it is to endure .... ;-)
