Nap Austrian Cuirassiers.

Posted by gbvarese on 23 Jan 2018, 13:33

Dear Forumers,

I've realised that many have already posted pictures of Austrians cuirassiers. I would also like, to add my modest contribution to such a topic. The two regiments depicted are: Sommariva Rgt. (light blue facing) and Hoehnzollern Rgt. (red facing). Both, during the 1813 campaign formed a brigade led by general Nostitz,

I would appreciate very much your comments

Giovanni.

Very nicely done. These figures really come alive.

Great painting, great posing for the camera and great perspective in the background. They really look like cavalry on the charge.

Dear Graeme,

Thank for your comment. The most difficult aspect of the work was modifying one figure in order to havethe regiment commander. It has been much easier instead, making the trumpeter, since it's a conversion of a cavalryman taken from 8031 Austrian Chevauxleger set.

Giovanni.

I can only repeat our Graeme's comments. :-D Hat's early figures can look a little bit lifeless unless given great attention, as you have done. Great work on the horse furniture too! :yeah:
