Austrian General Staff Officer With Oak Leaves

He's properly dressed with the addition of the oak leaves. I also tidied him up and added a little metal to the horse leathers.

How many of you remember the size of a new pound coin?

An excellent little figure and a pleasure to paint,

Very nice work Indeed. I am into faces as they bring the figures alive so to speak. This chap looks most splendid.

Best wishes,

Chris

I've never seen the new Pound coin before so it was a clever idea of yours to include that rather spiffy looking, splendidly painted model of an Austrian General to show the scale.

I feel I may have created a problem for myself. The greenery in the hat I think works well but the thing is do I have to go back over all my other Austrian infantry and stick oak leaves on every one of them.
That's one of the things about this hobby. I have a load of Scots Greys that look OK en masse but I know I can improve individually. Do I go back over these or do I paint up more and use the older ones at the back? That's after/along with/before the myriad other figures I have still to paint
