"Von Bredow's Death Ride". 7th Prussian Cuirassiers 1870.

Posted by Jaques on 06 Dec 2017, 19:53

Hi , friends.

I finished my new conversion of the Prussians Cuirassiers 1870. The old conversion that I posted years ago here in the forum, was using French Cuirassiers of Esci.
I hope you like the idea and know the basis of the new conversions. :-D

Hi , friends.

Many thanks for the comments.
When I first came up with the idea of conversion, I first thought of using Russian Strelet's heads in the Russian infantry, Crimean War ,but the result seemed horrible. In my opinion, the old pattern of Strelets figures is not compatible with figures from other manufacturers. Then the construction and sculpture of heads, with 4 different types of face and lower part of the body, making mold and copies in white metal, transforming Zvezda Russian Cuirassiers in Prussian Cuirassiers 1870.

Really good conversions which I like much. I can understand quite well why you have choosen the better Zvezda horses and soldier legs. All suits well together. Do you plan a diorama with your figures? Who will been their counter-parts?
