Nice. Good painting, Fred. These Saxons look very disciplined.

Hello Mr Fred.

Personally I think that this is one of Hats poorer sets but you have brought out the best in them.

Well done.

Best wishes,

Chris

I think units would look disciplined before the first volley and much less so on each successive one.
At least these sections don't have their French allies shooting at them and then the French being shocked when they're sent a volley back :P . It's those white uniforms you know, they look a bit like Austrians

Most sets are somewhat like the *Curate's egg in my opinion. It's just a matter of trying to make the best of what you get.

*
curate's egg
kjʊərətsˈɛɡ/
noun BRITISH
a thing that is partly good and partly bad.

*
Bishop: "I'm afraid you've got a bad egg, Mr Jones"
Curate: "Oh, no, my Lord, I assure you that parts of it are excellent!"
