Today I continue with the last part of the show: The Sherman Firefly Set from PSC.
Generelly I must say this set is also very nicely done. All parts fit well inspite of the mud guard. It was not easy to add and there ist no space left between the upper track and the mud guard.
What I really like is the solution for the tracks. The "three part assembly" looks quiet good and works much better than the rubber tracks in other sets or the "swot - variant" were every single segment has to be assembled one after the other
And it looks also better than the solution from Armourfast, which is more basic.
I would like to use special decals from Peddinghausen and Black Lion.
The Black Lion ones are for the 1.Polish Armourd Division. They look qiete nice but when you try to add them on the model, they are extremly fragile. I can really not recommend. It might be me, but I never had this problems before. The only way in the end was to add dirt on the place, where decals have been destroyed.
But to be honest the Peddinghaus decals are disappointing in another way. The instructions mentioned decals not included and some decals included are not mentioned. So I have to do a lot of research and in the end decide what might be the least wrong possibility.
And additionally the model and the decals are not in the same scale. They are to big, as you can see below.
But I like the tanks, even the decals are not, what I thought they should be. Please feel free to comment. So here is the result.
