A trivia game - with figures!

Posted by Zed1 on 13 Oct 2017, 19:45

Okay friends. Since the internet became a high-end-knowing-everything-thing, movie trivia games became ludicrously absurd. There's almost not a single distinctive quote you can't find somewhere on the web.

But there's one way how I can present a riddle that is not so easy to solve just-by-google. At least, I hope so. So I had a look for some not-so-well-known movies and I found one. In fact, it is a very absurd piece of cinematography. And now, I hereby present you guys this picture and declare the game opened - let's see if anybody here is able to tell me from which movie this figure has been inspired. Enjoy! :-D

All I see is a tiny white cross on a tiny black background so I'll say Pirates of the Caribbean :P

This is strange - when I made the posting, the pic was clearly to see. Now I can't even edit the posting. :-(

PB linked pics have a strange Habit of being visible for a short time but thier editing prog catches up and makes them invisible. All pics hosted on PB Need ~original adding to the end of the Code otherwise they won´t Show. I´ve added ~original to it and it´s now visible.

My guess...Hhhm? It's a character from a Star Trek episode. It's the planet where Imperial Rome is happening during the modern times. Centurians with machine guns and wearing German style uniforms. Gladiator games are on television. Kirk even tries to instigate a Spartakas type uprising. Aaaah, I'm probably totally wrong. Hahahahahahahahaha. Bill

I have no idea what universe comes from that figure, the only thing that is that is very nice for the eyes.
A well-known figure painted with different colors in the uniform, It is very original, I like the color combination and the modifications in the helmet.
It is very well painted.

Bit of trivia.
My Dad told me he was in the Navy with Robert Newton for a while during the war.
Whether that is true or not, who knows.

These are the kind of uniforms you see in those comic books movies. Maybe this is the German version of Captain America! ;-)

Well. The figure regards to a movie which was based on a comic book.
But it's not Marvel, DC or whatsoever, it's not even American...

Fascinating riddle. I don't know the answer but I love to look at your figure and try to figure it out.
