WW2 - Horten Go 229 in “Top Secret“ - DE

New diorama pictures …

„Top Secret“

The air is cold and clear. There is almost no wind. A good day for a test flight. Or even a hunting flight? The plane has been refueled and everything has been checked. Even ammunition was taken. The front is not far - not for this aircraft. The voltage is tangible. Months of hard work lie behind them. Everything had to be kept strictly secret. Now the great day has come. Will it succeed? All are full of hope. Will the 'Horten' be the new miracle weapon that decides the fate of Germany?

Have fun. :-D

Your Hellboy

A presentation state of the art.
As the Go 229 was.
And the Dio is.
:yeah:
In a time we did not sell the technology to China.
An unbelievable speed of development. From the Wright Flyer1 (1903) to the He 178 (1939) with Jet power.
On the other hand it is interesting how long also into WWII are biplanes build and used. And not in small numbers!

Lot of bits in different color all around bring live into the scene.
The number thirteen fit well to that bird.
Only the tanker uniform is unusual. But in the last days ...
Painting is on top, as usual.

A "Top Secret" Question:
Are these pigeons the counter wight to the Pitot tube?

Wiking, Ben90 and Kostis Ornerakis, thanks for the friendly comments. I am very pleased that you like the diorama. Thanks also for all the Likes. :-D

You're absolutely right. The speed of development was enormous. The 'Horten' was technically 30 to 40 years ahead of all other countries. The technology of this aircraft is fascinating. Speed, agility, almost invisible for airspace monitoring and much more ... Comparing the shaping of modern stealth aircraft with the 'Horten', almost no difference can be seen. Really crazy!

One more word. As you can see, the story as well as the diorama is a mixture of reality and fiction. The only aircraft of this kind that really flew was the engine V2 (V = Versuchsmaschine). There was never a machine with a '13'. But I think we can allow ourselves a little freedom in our hobby. It is supposed to look nice and bring a fun. Feel free! :-D

Magnificent display. Painting, composition, and subject matter are all wonderful. Love details like woodpecker and duo pigeons. Would like to see Horton without netting.???

The Horten without net is unfortunately no longer possible. This is fixed. In addition, it is 'top secret'. ;-)
