The Phantom Menace - my Undead army

Posted by PhilC on 03 Jun 2017, 14:44

Hi everyone. I've started to paint an Undead army for Kings of War - I intend to play a battle this summer.
Let's start with the ghosts... they seem to have a Loyal / Good Wizard on their way :)

Technically speaking, I didn't use any wash this time, only several (a lot of) layers from blue to almost white.

I hope you like them :)

I like the technique you use to paint, higligth good reliefs and details in a monochromatic way is not easy. And it looks great.

Interesting choice of color. I expected black and grey.
Nice effective painting style.
But in the end it is the same.
I prefer more to stay with the wizards side.

Di like a bit of Fantasy. Who makes the figures?

Great technique and I do like the colour - actually look very menacing in blue, more so than Peter Jackson's choice of snot for the colour of the army of the dead.

Thank you all for your comments :)

These are Caesar minis, from the Undead army set, even the wizard, but with a head swap with a peasant from a Zvezda set (and some liquid green stuff from GW, not that liquid but excellent material :)).

A picture to be clear (I know the Rabbit Doctor is not here but at FIGZ, but I guess he's watching everything, even from far away, so I must be clear, or I will have to answer intrusive questions  ):

This is a very easy conversion, and it's worth a try. Not my idea by the way, I found this idea on Cheap Fantasy Minis, as explained here.
