(Not so) boring Napoleonic French

Posted by PhilC on 02 Apr 2017, 10:08

Yesterday, I wrote in a post (http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20405&p=222290#p222290) that Napoleonic French were boring... so today, I decided to post pictures of such figs

I wanted to show something slightly original though, so here you are, French fusiliers painted as Neapolitans, the 8th Neapolitan line regiment.

They are represented in action during the Peninsula campaign.

More on my blog: http://philotepsfigures.blogspot.com/2017/04/8th-neapolitan-line-regiment.html

Hope you like them. I would like to add a few more minis (including grenadiers and voltigeurs), and after that, I would like to represent the 7th regiment: black men in white uniforms with yellow facings, it should be great :)

Beano Boy, you're too kind... When I look at the pictures, I only see the defaults, mistakes, and I promise myself not to use the macro lense

Phil, it's good to see you are comfortable in your contradictions! Nice figures, even if they are Napoleonic…
Agreed, the macro lens is unforgiving. They are never meant to be seen so up close and look fabulous at their proper distance.

Hello ! It's been a long since I came here, I couldn't remember my password :D
Nice to read new comments on this ancient post, so thank you very much !!
I didn't paint a lot this year, a little more these days at last. Among the few figures painted, very few napoleonics, sorry. But I have pictures :) even if they are not as terrific as most of yours.
I prepare a post concerning orcs :)
