PhilC wrote:Hi everyone and a happy new year!

This year, I promised myself to finish the current projects (but not to start new ones before the old ones are completed  ), so I began to paint heavy cavalrymen for my Late Roman army: the Equites Constantiani feroces (as proposed by Chariobaude).

Their shield pattern is this one:

Here you are the riders:

Minis by Hät - I like them a lot, in spite of the soft plastic - not easy to remove the mold lines, but it proved very easy to paint.

Some historical explanations and more pictures on my blog: http://philotepsfigures.blogspot.com/20 ... uites.html

Other riders coming soon !

Once again, you showed your amazing painting skills ! i guess now i have to show my equites constantiaci feroces (i've 24 horsemen of this unit on my workbench...)

When I find some time, I will take pictures of the whole.

Hope you're not fed up

Thank you!
Next steps (if I don't spend too much time on Napoleonics  ) :
- to paint a small balist and the servants
- to find a great general on horse (any conversion idea ?)
- to base them all !!!

It´s always a pleasure to follow your growing army. What makes your project to create still more own sculpted figures?

Excellent! Your painting skills increase with each set you paint. I guess you had a post on your blog about this unit ? I go to check.
