Old Wolf: " For me the best Dio in Heiden". This Statement need more as thank you.
The idea of such an Dio is several years back. But at this time it exist not so nice and fine houses, poses of figures and cars, beside the Tatra. My scratch is only god for small sections . For example the front axle of the Bugatti. In the past 10-15 years the range and quality for 1/72 is increasing rapidly.
So with Dio 72, Diodump, add on parts, house and base exist. For the civilists now there are some useful sets of all centuries. The Tatra and the HP 8 Tourer was set. I tended for the Military Wheels "Herbi" but i want more action. To find more non resine cars around 1930 was a challenge. How to look in the www for something you do not know if it exist! The MG was found after some hour. The Bugatti was a stork of fortune. Weeks later!
The next funny thing was when i came to the decision to take it to Heiden, in whitch section can it start.
No Helicopter, no Military vehicles, no ships, no, no, no and finally close to the end of the list. Civil cars all scales.
My main hope was at MD2 with "France 1940" in the competition. I was motivated because at the EME 2015 i get with Narvik 1940 a bronze medal. First time in Heiden after several failes. I was surprised for Gold, The race is on too.
You can`t belive how i was really positive shocked as i opened at 1am next morning this Forum and see the text written under this Dio. Best of show, Gold medal, Bennos figures Price.
But by all glory and medals the best thing is truly if someone stop and look at your build dio at the table.
For me this is... how to explain , a warm feeling around the heard. Yes! You do the right thing. Sonds crazy.

Wel for me this was also the best dio in Heiden, you got my vote as well!
There was a lot nice on the table but I liked this one the most because all the small details, like the dead animal on the road, the playing kids, the smoking woman, etc.
The whole diorama was made perfect, from every angle there was something to see.
Thanks for your reactions and extra pictures here at Benno's
Hope to see more of your work!

Dad`s Army:
I would like to give my sincere thanks to everybody who vote for this Dio.

An arabic slogan is: The lucky one who do not need to to eat his words twice.

But in this case i only can say.
Thank you so much for all the flowers.

Yes indeed, as an example for the 1/87 Dio`s they are in a quality i never seen bevore.
It is nice that someone put my pic`s of Part I and Part II together.

Each time enough paint and glue.

Nice that you`ve mentioned it.
The telex (farina alfa crashed stop goldie mg new leader stop) should undline the "good old time". In reference to the Film: Thos magnificent men in their flying machines. From 1965.

Good modelling

Phenomenal diorama. Full of action, emotion, and pathos. Awesome job conveying motion on a static scene...whiffs of smoke, skid marks, suspended debris frozen in mid air. A panorama of Human emotions is shown in the crowd. Vehicles and scenery are masterfully crafted too. BRAVO!!!!!

Hi Wiking,
It is a complete story packed in a diorama.
There is a lot to see, all kinds of things happening.
I like the crached Alfa picture the most.
A wonderful eyecatcher.
Sadly I couldn't make it to Heiden..
Thanks for posting.
