Very very impressive !!!

When I look at this, that gives me really desire for taking my brushes and for trying (really trying...) to make the same thing !

Your figure shows perfectly that Zvezda swedish Dragoons could make good Dragoons for SYW period...

Really great !
Thanks again for sharing this pictures.

Awesome! Very nice work on the horse, especially. What kinds of paints did you use?

I would want to say some things, I have been following this forum for a lot of time and I'm grown a lot in this hobby thanks to it therefore to receive compliments from you for me is as for someone to receive them from his own school teacher .
thanks to all.

What kinds of paints did you use?

dear dutchboy I, like you, primarily use craft paints and in least part Vallejo and Tamiya.

The cut of the habit would have to be quite different, I am afraid, apart from some other details. Mais cela dépend de la nation, n'est-ce pas?

The vignette is very well done, very nicely conceived. These figurines do have a lot of conversion potential within the period ca. 1690-1720.

Hi Montecristo,
Excellent paint work.
You should have saved this one for a painting competition.

Quite different ?
Not so much for some old fashion uniforms like in Reich, French and British armies...
We would have perhaps to change the housings on the horse but I think every Dragoon uniforms without lapels and with large coat could fit, isn't it ?

Of course, for Dragoon uniforms with lapels and with a coat more tight (Hanoverian, Prussian and Austrian Dragoons), we have to use the SYW Revell or the napoleonic Hat and Italeri ones (changing the heads...).

I'm thinking to prepare a file giving, for each SYW troop, the 1/72 figurine we can presently use... Hard job but could be helpfull.
Are you interested to help me, Cyrano ? :help:

But perhaps such a file already exits ?
Does any body know one file like that on the net ??

I'd love to see that Fred.

Are there any SYW troops that can be represented using the Zved. GNW Russians.

The dragoon is excellent...by the way.

The Zvezda GNW Swedish dragoons can be used for Russian dragoons in the SYW, not for more I'm afraid. The Zvezda infantry 'could' be used for french infantry during the SYW, but it isn't entirerly accurate.

Fred, such a file exists already! :)
see http://www.rf-figuren.de/ -see the 'figurenliste'
This man has made several terrific SYW dio's in 1/72

Cheers,

Christiaan
