Great first posting, I totally agree with you that models populated with their perspective crews breathe life into the subject. At the minimal it give one a sense of perspective, and at most you have the "Human Factor".....Man as the actor on the stage of History. Well done ship and figures. The dark shading definitely gives it an ominous feeling, though I believe a lil selective dry brushing would make some details really "Pop". Just a suggestion....artistic style is very preferential. Terrific job. Hope to see more of your works soon. Bill

Wonderful! Will you describe how you painted the basecoats on the sails? Was it by hand, or airbrushed? and did you paint the yards (frames) of the sails after?
