The Second Wargame

Posted by MABO on 15 Nov 2018, 22:46

Some days ago Mr.Andrea and my clash again in the hot terrain of Italy. My Carthagians try to beat the Romans.

viewtopic.php?f=173&t=21751

It was a longer session than last time.

But finally I lost again. After some luck with the dice, I could not break through the lines of the Roman spears and also my Numidians clash in the Roman cavalry with no succes.

And after I have lost my fearsome Elefant, the battle was lost for Hannibal.

But it was a great show again, thanks to Mr Andrea.

After that I have taken my own Carthaginas from HaT painted ages ago and started to base them. So next time I hope to fight with my personal army for the first time.

That's awesome, Jan. Next one will be massive, we can double the army! Looking forward to seeing 4 elephants on the battlefield.

What a battlefield ! And Mr Andrea's promise to see more elephants is highly interesting. The ancient Carthaginian army is one of my favourite. More report, and more pictures, please !!

Even if it is no Game Report, I like to continue with the final pics of my based Carthagians. My first DBA army. Some bases are optional. A good way to make something with my painted figs. They are relieved from the basement. Now I hope they are able to win the next game... :-D

This is indeed a game report, may be not a battle report. Preparation for the next battle deserves a proper place: this is the right one, I think. Well done, Jan. That sands on the bases rocks, and I say that as eye-witness ;-) . I really look forward to the next battle: double army, 4 elephants on the ground, more meat for my Romans.   Unless I will use the Carthaginians: in that case it will be smashed legionaries for dinner 8)

That looks really cool Jan. I'm not wargamer and probably I will never play. But it would be cool to have army like that for the display case in hobby/living room.
