You may remember I'd started a post-Waterloo ('The French Victory") campaign. We'd fought two rear guard actions with the Prussians & a bigger encounter with the Anglo-Hanoverians, heading towards the Belgium coast. Now for something bigger: a French invasion of Germany. I've started with the following scenario outline:
Encounter at Bruckmühl (Southern Germany, July 1815-ish)
This will be a fast, decisive meeting engagement scenario with fog, fractured command, and a race for the high ground.
Strategic Situation
After a hard retreat from the Upper Rhine, the Prussians are withdrawing through Upper Bavaria toward the Isar. French advance elements, moving faster than expected, are trying to pounce on their rear guard. Both sides are converging on the small market town of Bruckmühl, where the Mangfall River meets a key north–south road.
OOBs, terrain & fleshing out the scenario to work on.
