A not so civil war

Our annual Show game saw a version of Marston Moor if someone had of invited Montrose.
Some 80 units of Parliamentarians, English Royalists, Covenanters & Scottish Royalists battled it, using (modified) 'Victory without Quarter ' rules.

We have tomorrow to finish the game. It looks like being an exciting day.

There was a record crowd both days & what was really a one day battle took two, with fielding questions & explaining things took up a lot of time.

The battle finished with an unexpected Royalist victory. It was a game of Hidden Objectives & Charlie & Montroses' boys held all three of theirs & captured the Covenanter camp, whilst Parliament only managed to secure one objective. As the commander of the English royalists I was quite chuffed.
