Sharpe's Enemy!!!

Posted by Harry Faversham on 05 Apr 2019, 10:27

I'm not much of a fan of the Frenchies and have made a bit of a pig's ear of painting the uniform, but this is FFofL land, so I've gone for a generic looking Froggy light Infantry Occifer as as Sharpey's nemesis.
As I was painting Captain Marcel le Tosspot I was certain that the pointing bloke was him. The other fellow's dark blue looked crap all in one colour, then I put the detail on, and he sort of started to grow on me... kind of sinister. Then I thought all the classic baddies wear dark colours!
Bottom line is, I can't make mi' mind up who's going to be the good Captain and who the anonymous underlying...
any suggestions from the Brethren?

Depends on the character of your Frenchman. The one on the right looks honourable, decent and would probably be a capital fellow if we weren't fighting a war. The one on the left has an air of quiet menace, you might steer clear of him even in peacetime.

Both are very nicely painted by the way. :-D

I believe le Tosspot is most certainly the figure on the left in the darker uniform. He looks like trouble, that's for sure!

Good figure or Bad trouble figure. The 95th Rifles will shoot at both.
I like your painted versions shown, and i think they are both ready for a brawl.
So let them rumble and see how they perform against the measurement stick of others.

Most certainly there will be no white feather for you H F. Greetings BB

Sharp's main enemies wore Scarlet. The French just happened to be the ones he shot at. ;-)
